Antique Bell and Howell Autoset 624EE 8mm film camera, made in 1958. Serial number; D80327.

This is one of the first amateur cameras with automatic exposure control. The Autoset used 25 foot reels of double 8mm film. In addition to taking 16 frames per second, the camera could also take single frames.

Many film cameras of the 1950s and 1960s were driven by clockwork motors and, depending on the quality of the mechanism, the camera could run between 30 and 90 seconds.
