Antique 19th century metal lantern of a horse-drawn carriage.

Fitted for a light bulb.

It has an inscription that has been erased by the passage of time, which reads "Milano".

These lanterns were the only lighting for carriages and horse-drawn carriages until the advent of electricity for road vehicles.
