Details

Antique jukebox, also known in Spanish as sinfonola.

Coin-operated, with the decorative and striking lighting that characterises them, it is an iconic piece of the 50s/60s. The selection of the songs was carried out through a button panel that, by means of a combination, allowed to indicate a specific song from a list of discs. This model, festival 232, had a capacity for 30 discs.

Its manufacturer is Petaco S.A.

This company from Madrid, officially founded in 1962, was basically dedicated to the development and manufacture of pinball machines. It was the great competitor of the 'official' company GEDASA. So when GEDASA/MARESA announced at the end of 1962 its first pinball machine, PETACO reached an agreement with the Belgian company Rennotte to manufacture its juke-box models in Spain. This prompted Ernest Adolphe Louis Bob Rennotte to move to Madrid to work for PETACO as a consultant engineer-technician where he developed and managed PETACO's jukebox section. In the 70s, Rennotte's technology had become a little obsolete, so they reached a new agreement with the French company JUPITER to manufacture some of their models in Spain.

This juke box was manufactured in 1968, with rennotte technology.
