Old Bolex-Paillard camera model c-8 of the Swiss company Bolex Paillard founded in 1925, (now Bolex International S.A. of Yverdon-les-Bains).

In 1954, the BOLEX C-8 replaced the L-8 model (from 1942). It benefited from the main changes introduced on the B-8, which had been released a year earlier: layout of the controls (shutter release, metric counter) and its technical performance (continuously variable viewfinder, frame rates from 8 to 64 frames per second, new loading system).

The original BOLEX C-8 was produced until 1958.
